Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – A routine traffic stop in Bridgeport resulted in the arrest of a Clarksburg man and the discovery of marijuana and money.

Bridgeport police stopped a car Wednesday on Route 50 for an obscured registration and smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

Police then found a bag containing 25.68 grams of marijuana outside the door of passenger, Keven Cayamitte, 30, of Clarksburg.

While being processed at the jail police found $4,037 and a small amount of marijuana in his pants.

Police say Cayemitte has a history of convictions for possession and delivery of a controlled substance.

He was taken to the North Central Regional Jail and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
