Traffic stop leads to second felony meth arrest in eight months for Preston County man

KINGWOOD, W.Va. – Okey Teter, 30, of Kingwood, is facing his second felony methamphetamine charge in eight months after being stopped by the West Virginia State Police.

A report from police says Teter was a passenger in a car with burnt out registration lights on Route 7 in Masontown Sunday when the stop was made.

Both subjects were asked to exit the vehicle to be searched. After police found a pipe in Teter’s possession he told them he may drugs as well.

During the search police found about 10 grams of methamphetamine, items consistent with drug dealing, two pipes and $80 in cash.

Teter has been charged with possession with intent to deliver and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.

Teter was last arrested for a felony methamphetamine charge in February of 2019.
