Trial scheduled in deadly hit & run

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A trial for a Morgantown man indicted in a deadly hit and run crash is scheduled for next week. Bryan Scott Hart, 23, is accused of leaving the scene of a fatal wreck.

State Police alleged Hart lost control of his Mitsubishi Eclipse about 12:50 a.m. on Nov. 2 and crossed the center line while traveling along Hartman Run Road. Hart’s vehicle collided with a Dodge Neon in the opposite lane. WVU student Levi Stout, 20, of Webster Springs was a passenger in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Stout’s sister, Samantha, 19, was driving the car and was injured in the accident.

Hart’s trial is scheduled for Monday if a plea arrangement cannot be ageed to in the meantime.
