Trinity to enter governor’s plan for private institution in-person learning

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Officials at Trinity Christian School have announced plans to partner with the governor’s office and staff to reopen on-campus classes. Under the agreement, schoolwide COVID testing for staff, faculty, coaches and k through 12 students will be conducted.

Trinity Christian School will be able to offer continuous, in-person classes regardless of the statewide Color Code System. If Mon COunty would slip to red, the school would transition to online learning.

Members of the West Virginia National Guard will assist with testing through Friday, September 25.

Trinity Christian School Superintendent, Michelle Stellato said,“We strongly believe that children need the opportunity to learn within an in-person environment and therefore desire to take whatever steps necessary to provide this option for those students. TCS remains committed to taking additional steps to mitigate risks that in-person education may pose.” Ms. Stellato says the administration will review and update the school’s safety plan according to CDC guidelines and in cooperation with the Monongalia Health Department as the situation continues to change.
