Two fatalities in separate Mon County crashes

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Two men involved in separate vehicle accidents in Monongalia County this week have died from injuries they sustained. Gene Foirini, 54 and Conrad Hoke, both of Morgantown, passed away Friday at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Fiorini was riding his motorcycle when he was involved in a three-vehicle Wednesday on Cheat Road. A pick-up truck turned left pouf of the Crest Point Store, going north toward Cheat Lake. When the truck turned, police say it struck a Honda Civic traveling in the same direction, causing the car to spin out of control and hit Fiorini’s motorcycle headed in the opposite direction.

Fiorini was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital and died on Friday.

Hoke was involved in a Thursday accident that had part of I-68 near Sabraton shutdown. According to state police, Hoke was traveling east in his pick-up truck when another pick-up headed in the same direction, drifted across the center line into Hoke’s vehicle causing both trucks to lose control and Hoke’s truck to flip over.

Hoke was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital and passed away on Friday.
