MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Two people were killed in a vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer early Saturday morning.
The crash occurred Saturday at 3:20 a.m. near the intersection of Route 7 and Powell Avenue in Morgantown. The driver of a Toyota Corolla and passenger were killed when the car collided with a Peterbilt tractor-trailer. Papa Yaw Acheampong, of Boyd, Maryland, who was driving the vehicle, and Antonio Darrell McDaniel, of Morgantown, who was a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
A second passenger, Marcus Penrose, of Morgantown, was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital.
The semi-driver was not injured.
