Two Men Arrested After Robbery Turns Into Shooting in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Two men involved in a robbery that resulted in one person being shot in Monongalia County have been arrested.

At approximately 5:00 pm on Friday, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot wound victim being treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators initially learned the incident began at 1005 Charles Avenue and processed the scene, identifying Christopher Mark Henry, 24, of Beckley, as a suspect in the case.

On Monday, Detectives of the Morgantown Police Department and the U.S. Marshall’s Mountain State Fugitive Task Force located Henry at 612 Protzman Street, where members of the Morgantown Police Department Special Response Team served search and arrest warrants.

He was arrested without incident at around 11 p.m. that night.

Meanwhile, Aaron Marquice Craig, 23, of Monongalia County, was also identified as a suspect and arrested without incident.

Henry faces charges of Malicious Wounding, Robbery and Conspiracy, while Craig is charged with Robbery and Conspiracy.

Both men are currently in custody pending arraignment.
