Westover woman faces charges after dispute over $10 debt

WESTOVER, W.Va. – A Westover woman is being charged with wanton endangerment after forcibly entering a residence and firing a weapon over a $10 debt.

Officials say Clara Earnest, 27, kicked the door of the Dunkard Avenue home open, went into the living room where a man was sitting and fired a gun into the wall and fled.

Police found the shell casing and hole in the wall to substantiate the accusation.

Earnest is being held in the North Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
