Wrong way I-68 crash kills one in Mon County

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Officials from the West Virginia State Police say one person was killed in a four-vehicle crash on I-68 Friday morning.

According to a report, a vehicle entered the eastbound exit ramp at Pierpont Road and began traveling west in the eastbound lane. The vehicle sideswiped another car and continued west and struck another vehicle head on.

One person was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene, another driver was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.

No names have been released.
