WVU BOG voting on tuition and fee increases today

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Look for the West Virginia University Board of Governors to approve a tuition and fee increase today but what’s up for consideration is much lower increases than in recent years.

The BOG, which is meeting in Morgantown, is looking at increase tuition 1.36 percent for in-state students and 1.44 percent for out-of-state students. Last year the WVU BOG approved tuition and fee increases that topped 5.5 percent.

The board will also consider various increases for graduate students and for those students enrolled at WVU Tech in Beckley and Potomac State in Keyser.

Marshall University’s Board of Governors approved tuition and fee increases for next fall earlier this week that topped more than three percent.
