WVU plans normal operations despite winter weather

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University officials are monitoring weather and road conditions and are making plans for Friday, Jan. 7.

Officials advise students and employees to call ahead to locations and services are open as conditions may change or services may be limited on a case-by-case basis.

Employees and students that are required to travel are advised to use caution.

Supervisors are asked to be flexible and understanding with staff members to accommodate childcare and potentially hazardous road conditions.

University officials will continue to closely monitor reports from the National Weather Service, as well as state, local and campus conditions to provide additional updates if necessary.

Updates will be provided through the WVU Alert system and social media.
