Duplex fire under investigation in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Morgantown firefighters doused a small fire after a report of smoke from a Cornell Avenue duplex early Sunday.

An occupant called 911 around 4:17 a.m. and after the other occupants were confirmed safe a small fire was found in the upstairs. The fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

Damage was estimated at $20,000. No injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
