WVU cancels scheduled day at Capitol

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University announced Friday they are cancelling WVU Day at the Legislature.

WVU Day at the Legislature was scheduled to proceed Tuesday, Feb. 20.

“We felt that the potential for large crowds and long security lines would limit students’ participation and the ability to visit our event exhibits,” said Steven Bonanno, dean and director, WVU Extension Service.

The University will look at other opportunities to host an event for 4-H’ers, students, and others at a later date.

Hundreds of 4-H’ers and students were scheduled to visit the Capitol for the event.
