MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Fayette County man is behind bars after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman outside a Morgantown nightclub in March.

The investigation began on March 3 when Morgantown police were alerted by the victim in downtown.

Police learned Jordan Gray, 25, of Scarborough, met the victim, who was reportedly a highly intoxicated woman, at a nightclub and was later seen helping her walk. The victim was unsteady and stumbling while walking with Gray.

Gray allegedly pulled the victim’s undergarments and pants down and began the assault while holding her against a building.

Gray lost his grip on the victim, and she fell to the ground face first. Gray attempted to pick the victim up once and then walked away, leaving her on the ground.

Gray has been charged with sexual assault and is being held in the Southern Regional Jail. The bond has been set at $75,000.
