Full-Service Food Drive begins Tuesday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The 22nd Annual Full-Service Food Drive returns Tuesday, October 15, at Morgantown Kroger locations.

From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day, the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties and Kroger will be collecting nonperishable food items, personal care items, and cleaning supplies at Kroger stores in Sabraton, Evansdale, and Suncrest.

Some suggested donations are canned goods, dry beans, canned meats, peanut butter, rice, pasta, cooking oils and toilitries.

New this year is an online Amazon wishlist. Those who cannot make it to a store before the food drive can order from the Amazon wishlist through October 15 and mark it to ship to the United Way address provided. Order online here.

The drive is sponsored by Kroger, WVAQ, WAJR, and WKKW. Food collected during the distribution will be delivered to food pantries in Monongalia County through the Food and Hunger Committee of the United Way Family Resource Network.

Clay Battelle Area Family Services at the Old Blacksville Elementary School on Rt. 7
Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church on Greenbag Road in Morgantown
Monongalia County Starting Points on Fairmont Road in Morgantown
Rock Forge Presbyterian Church on Earl L. Core Road in Morgantown
The Salvation Army on University Avenue in Morgantown
Scott’s Run Setlement House on Ladybug Drive in Osage
St. Ursuala Food Pantry and Outreach on Pursglove Road in Pursglove
Wadestown Food Pantry on Wadestown Road in Wadestown
The Caritas House
