An investigation is underway in an ambulance crash on I-79

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — An ambulance wrecked on wet roads in Monongalia County Thursday afternoon.

According to 911 officials a JanCare vehicle crossed the median of Interstate 79 near the Goshen Road exit
and rolled over into oncoming lanes.

There were reportedly no patients onboard the ambulance and injuries sustained in the wreck were unknown shortly after noon.

The wreck happened just before noon near mile marker 147 just before noon.

Officials said a second accident with unknown injuries was being investigated nearby involving 2 cars.
