Applications accepted to serve on Morgantown city council in the First Ward

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – In Morgantown, applications are being accepted for a First Ward resident to serve a two year term on city council. The vacancy comes after recently elected First Ward City Council Candidate Patrick Hathaway moved out-of-state after a family member received a job offer.

The applications period is open until July 16. On July 16, the final list of applicants will be posted on the city website. Interviews are expected to be held July 20 and council will vote to appoint the new member July 27.
