Barbour County Woman Accused of Using Checks, Credit Card Stolen From Assisted Living Facility

ELKINS, W.Va. — A Barbour County woman is facing five felony charges after being accused of using checks and a credit card she stole from an assisted living center.

Robin Sue Reel, 42, of Belington allegedly took the items from the Mansfield Place in Philipi, then deposited approximately $9,000 in checks into her personal bank account in Elkins and spent around $282 charged to the card on Christmas gifts and other items at the Elkins K-Mart.

Because the money was transported to Randolph County, that is where the two criminal complaints charging her with two counts of grand larceny, two counts of forgery/uttering and one count of fraudulent use of an access device were filed there, according to State Police.

Reel was transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail, where her bail was set at $15,000.
