Bids under review for new Marilla Park pool complex

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Bids are under review for the new Marilla Park pool complex.

The Morgantown Board of Parks and Recreation (BOPARC) is in the process of certifying bids from March-Westin, Anderson Excavating, and Veritas Contracting that are between $12 and $13 million, according to BOPARC executive director Melissa Wiles.

The project will move the 65-year-old facility from the lower part of the park to the upper portion and add several amenities. The pool will have zero-grade entry, water slides, a lazy river, and a “sprayground” area.

When the project is completed in 2025, BOPARC administrative offices at the Marilla Center will move into the new facility to free the center up for more public use.

The existing Marilla Park Pool will be open for the 2024 season.
