Bridgeport man admits to COVID Fraud

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. A Bridgeport man has admitted to fraudulently accepting $650,000 in federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) relief money.

James Nolte, 52, entered a guilty plea to one count of wire fraud in connection with loans for PGO Veterans Services, PG Health, RJS Catering, and Dental Care Plus. Nolte falsely reported wages, staff levels, and tax returns.

Nolte could serve up to 20 years in federal prison and will be sentenced at a later date.
