Buckhannon man charged after sending ‘spicy’ video to juvenile

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. A Buckhannon man has been charged with soliciting a minor via computer after an exchange with what he thought was a 14-year-old juvenile.

On Friday, December 1, Devin Kowalkoski, 26, made contact with a Facebook profile and was immediately informed he was speaking to a juvenile.

As the conversation continued, Kowalkoski continued to send sexually-related memes designed to push the conversation to sex.

At one point, Kowalkoski offered to send “something spicy” and followed with an explicit video of himself. Kowalkoski allegedly unsent the video after it was viewed, according to reports.

As the conversation continued, Kowalkoski sent an explicit photo of himself while communicating plans to meet the juvenile in Buckhannon.

Reports indicate that after Kowalkoski told the juvenile he was coming, there was a knock on the door within two minutes. At that point, members of the Buckhannon Police Department arrested Kowalkoski without incident.

While processing Kowalkoski, police allegedly found two condoms and a loaded pistol with a round in the chamber. In an interview with police, Kowalkoski admitted knowing the juvenile was 14 years old and that he sent explicit images of himself to the juvenile.

Kowalkoski is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
