CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Two homes in Clarksburg were damaged by fire early Friday.
A group of people returning home from work saw fire on the porch at 447 Washington Avenue around 1:15 a.m. and warned neighbors next door.
About 15 minutes later, a fire was discovered in the attic of a neighboring home.
Fire departments from Clarksburg and Bridgeport responded, along with officers from the Clarksburg Police Department.
The cause remains under investigation.
Unconfirmed reports indicate the homes were vacant.
