FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Maintenance workers in Fairmont found a decomposing body on the Gateway Connector on Tuesday morning. Workers found the body around 10:45 a.m. and believe it may have been there for a month or more.
Unconfirmed reports indicate the body may be that of a male who was recently reported missing to the West Virginia State Police.
If the body is that of the suspected missing person, the West Virginia State Police will release the identity. If it is not the missing person, the medical examiner will release the identity.
