Detroit man pleads in Monongalia County drug case

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Detroit man pleaded guilty to selling oxycodone in Monongalia County, U.S. Attorney Bill Powell announced Tuesday.

Robert “Pooh” Brown, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of aiding and abetting distribution of oxycodone.

The crime occurred in October 2015.

Brown faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000.

The investigation was funded by the federal Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Program (OCDETF).

Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda E. Wesley is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.

The Mon Valley Drug and Violent Crime Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, led the investigation.
