DOH to begin Willey Street restrictions Friday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. Crews from the West Virginia Department of Highways will begin a project on Willey Street that will restrict traffic during business hours and continue through the fall.

Beginning Friday, August 4, one lane of Willey Street will be closed from the intersection of Spruce Street to WV 705 between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. for milling, paving, and shoulder work. One lane will be maintained through the project by flaggers.

Motorists are advised to plan for additional travel time through the area.

The work is expected to be completed by November 17, 2023, but weather or unforeseen conditions could extend the work schedule.
