Drug activity complaints lead to arrest in Rivesville

RIVESVILLE, W.Va. West Virginia State Police from the Marion County Detachment made an arrest at a Rivesville apartment complex after receiving several complaints of drug activity.

On Dec. 20, troopers made contact with the resident at Paw Paw Manor, who consented to a search after police informed them about the complaints.

While searching the property, troopers made contact with Chevy Ramsey, 44, of Fairmont, in an upstairs bedroom.

During that search, troopers allegedly recovered multiple foil packages of fentanyl and heroin.

A witness told trooper Ramsey that he was stuffing the drugs under his mattress. Troopers said the drugs were also found with personal property that belonged to Ramsey.

Ramsey has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
