FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The City of Fairmont will accept applications to fill a vacancy on city council next year. Applications will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20 through noon on January 12, 2024.
District 7 representative Nicholas Cinalli has announced plans to vacate the seat at the end of 2023.
Applicants must be registered voters in the city of Fairmont, residents of District 7, and submit a letter of interest or resume to be considered.
The person appointed to the seat will serve until the canvass of the November 2024 election is completed and confirmed.
