Fairmont man arrested following controlled drug buy

FAIRMONT, W.Va. – A Fairmont man is behind bars accused of selling heroin or fentanyl to an undercover informant.

Officers from the Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force performed the controlled purchase of 13.11 grams at the Wendy’s from Darrell McHoney, 53, Oct. 6. The purchase was made with $1,100 of marked currency.

McHoney has been charged with distribution of a controlled substance and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $400,012 bond.
