Fairview man charged in Blacksville drug investigation

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. – Deputies from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department made an arrest and confiscated a quantity of dangerous drugs in Blacksville on Friday.

At about 4 p.m., we were dispatched to the 7-11 near the Balcksville Post Office for a possible drug incident. A police canine officer gave a positive indication for narcotics after encountering the suspect, Charles Strosnider, 51, of Fairview, in the parking lot of the store.

During a search of the vehicle, police found approximately 1.94 ounces of Methamphetamine, about 1.02 ounces of suspected Fentanyl, and 24
grams of marijuana, paraphernalia, and US currency.

Strosnider has been charged with possession with intent to deliver and violation of bond conditions due to a drug arrest in April of this year.

Strosnider has been arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court, and his bond has been set at $15,000.
