MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department has identified the person killed in a dirt bike accident in the Core area Thursday as William Burker, 29, of Morgantown.
The investigation showed Burker was driving the bike east on Henderson Hollow Road, which is a single lane, when he encountered a pickup truck driven by Brian Toothman, 38, of Fairview.
Toothman was unable to avoid Burker and struck him.
Burker was declared deceased at the scene. Toothman was treated for minor injuries.
The accident investigation is ongoing.
