Felon charged in shooting at Marjorie Gardens

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — One person is in custody after discharging a firearm during an altercation an apartment complex near Morgantown.

Brandon Dixon was arrested Wednesday evening after Monongalia County Sheriff’s Deputies coaxed him into giving himself up.

Deputies were dispatched to Marjorie Gardens for a report of shots fired in the area of the 5100 building, where witnesses reported three men had been involved in a fight. The fight ultimately escelated to shots being fired. Through witness statements and security footage, Deputies were able to pinpoint Dixon as the alleged shooter and determine to which apartment Dixon had fled.

Deputies were eventually able to persuade Dixon to give himself up to authorities.

Dixon is charged with three counts of wanton endangerment and a single count of a felon in possession of a firearm.

No one was injured in the incident.
