MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Two men associated with separate crimes involving children will be in court Friday for probable cause hearings to close out 2017.

Edward Lee, 40, of Uniontown, is charged with child neglect resulting in death and conspiracy in connection to the September 4, 2016 death of a seven-month-old child in Monongalia County.

Investigators said the child was never provided with medical attention for injuries and illnesses that he was suffering in the days leading up to his death. The child’s then 19-year-old mother, Julie Porreca, is also facing charges connected to the child’s death.
