FAIRMONT, W.Va. – A fire destroyed a mobile home in the Fairmont area on Sherwood Drive off Grafton Road late Monday.
An anonymous witness reportedly said explosions were heard and the fire started in the structure “suddenly” around 11 p.m.
Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to other units, but an electric transformer was damaged in the blaze. No electrical service in the area was affected.
The cause remains under investigation.
