SPELTOR, W.Va. — The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called to investigate a scene in Harrison County after a fire destroyed a home early Monday morning.
It happened along Fourth Street in Speltor at approximately 3 a.m., according to 911 officials.
When crews arrived to the scene, the home was already engulfed in flames.
The home’s resident, 90-year-old Kathleen Kawsky, was not there at the time, as she was staying with her grandson next door.
More details about the incident, including a potential cause are expected as the investigation continues.
