Firefighter hurt in Jane Lew blaze Monday

JANE LEW, W.Va. – A firefighter was injured while battling a Jane Lew fire Monday.

Numerous crews were called to the scene in the Jane Lew area at 4:20 a.m. Monday. Officials from the Spelter Fire Department said debris fell on a firefighter’s head during the response.

The firefighter was taken to the United Hospital Center for treatment.

In addition to Spelter, firefighters from Jacksons Mill, Lost Creek, Nutter Fort, and West Milford responded.

It’s not known what department the firefighter was from.
