Former WVU player faces two felony charges in Ohio

CAMBRIDGE, Oh. A current NFL player and former Mountaineer is facing two felony charges in Ohio.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said Josh Sills has been indicted for one count each of kidnapping and rape, both first-degree felonies.

Court documents said the incident happened in December of 2019 in Guernsey County, Ohio.

The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Department conducted the investigation.

Sills played football in Morgantown from 2016 to 2019 before transferring to Oklahoma State for the 2020-21 season.

Sills has been ordered to appear in Guernsey County Common Pleas Court on Feb. 16 at 1 p.m.
