Harrison County man faces multiple charges after Fairmont pursuit

FAIRMONT, W.Va. – One person is behind bars after leading the West Virginia State Police on a high-speed pursuit and pulling out a weapon.

The pursuit began when troopers tried to stop Nicholas Miller, 22, of Enterprise, for speeding on East Park Avenue on Sunday when he began to flee.

Miller allegedly ran a red light and drove on the wrong side of the Fairmont Gateway Connector, driving into the direction of bystanders and cars, before crashing on Pleasant Valley Road.

The trooper said they ordered Miller to stop several times, but he refused and displayed a firearm to police.

Ultimately, Miller got stopped and was apprehended. Troopers found methamphetamine and fentanyl in Miller’s possession.

Miller has been charged with wanton endangerment with a firearm, fleeing, and fleeing while under the influence. He is being held in the North Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $224,024 bond.
