Harrison County man sentenced to probation on meth charge

KINGWOOD, W.Va. — Robert Michael Whitehair, of Clarksburg, will spend three years on probation after he pleaded guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to operate a methamphetamine lab.

Prosecutors said Whitehair and 3 co-defendants were arrested in a traffic stop after being accused of stealing from a Kingwood retailer. Police found pseudoephedrine and lithium batteries during the investigation.

Whitehair was facing 1-5 years in prison. That sentence was suspended Monday for probation.

Shane Grow, of Flemington, also pleaded guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to operate a methamphetamine lab. He was sentenced to prison for 1 – 5 years.

James Nice of Philippi and Donald Sullivan of Volga are scheduled for sentencing July 30.
