CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Harrison County woman who was the alleged driver of a vehicle that struck a male West Virginia Department of Highways (DOH) worker has been charged with DUI causing serious injury.
Kiley Wagner, of Bridgeport, is in custody after the Clarksburg Police Department responded to a call on a reported auto-pedestrian accident that occurred on US Route 50 around 10 p.m. Thursday night. According to the criminal complaint, Wagner was still in her vehicle when officers arrived and allegedly admitted to drinking and driving during the investigation.
The DOH worker that was hit was taken to the United Hospital Center with life-threatening injuries. He was found unconscious and bleeding from the head at the scene, but was breathing when officers arrived.
Wagner was also taken to the United Hospital Center for a blood test before she was taken to the Clarksburg Police Department. Wagner showed a blood alcohol content of .200 percent when a breathalyzer was administered by police.
No updates on the status of the DOH worker have been released.
