HGTV show features Morgantown and local couple

MORGANTOWN. W.Va. –(courtesy  City of Morgantown) A West Virginia couple with opposing tastes will appear on the
HGTV show “House Hunters” this Friday evening.

House Hunters received film permits from the City of Morgantown in May and June of
2016 to record the episode. In August 2012, Morgantown City Council passed an ordinance requiring any groups filming within City Limits and on public property to apply for a permit in order to ensure that production goes as smoothly as possible.

House Hunters producers say the show highlights a couple’s search for a home to buy, giving them three options to choose from, and move into. This episode in particular features the couple in their current living space and lifestyle footage of the couple eating out, hiking, and mountain biking in the area. You’ll also be able to see scenic shots that showcase the beauty of the city, West Virginia University, Coopers Rock, and other popular destinations in the Greater Morgantown Area.
Producers explain that the couple’s differences in taste makes for an interesting episode.  The husband wants a turn-of-the-century charmer in the heart of Morgantown, but his wife is after a rustic home more towards the countryside of Monongalia County.
What will the couple choose? Find out Friday, January 6 at 10:00 p.m.
House Hunters airs on HGTV, Comcast channel 58 and DirecTV channel 229. Check
