Husband faces murder charge in Albright shooting

ALBRIGHT, W.Va. Deputies from the Preston County Sheriff’s Department have charged an Albright man after he allegedly shot and killed his wife Tuesday.

Deputies responded to the Woolen Mills Road in Albright and learned Natasha Collins had been shot and found her in a nearby field.

According to deputies, her husband, Edward Garletts, 29, was the only person with her when the shooting occurred.

While being interviewed by deputies, Garletts provided inconsistent statements and was placed under arrest.

Collins died later at Preston Memorial Hospital as a result of her injuries.
