I-79 delays expected to be major in Marion County overnight Thursday

MARION COUNTY, W,Va. – The West Virginia Department of Highways (DOH) predicts major delays on I-79 in Marion County on the night of Thursday, April 20.

All southbound lanes will close at 7 p.m. from the Pleasant Valley exit (mile marker 133) to the Kingmont exit (mile marker 135) while crews remove overhead signage.

All southbound lanes are scheduled to reopen Friday, April 21 at 6 a.m.

Drivers are advised to plan for an alternate and additional travel time.
