Inaugural Wild & Wonderful Country Fest draws 14,000

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Mylan Park hosted 14,000 country music fans during the August 23, 24 Wild & Wonderful Country Fest. The festival was created by The Davisson Brothers Band and the producers of Carolina Country Music Fest and Southern Entertainment.

Chris Davisson added, “We have had a vision for this festival for many years. After meeting and working with Bob Durkin and his staff, we knew they could bring our ideas to life. Thanks to Southern Entertainment, Erv Woolsey Management and HBPR. A special thanks to our amazing sponsors such as Permco, Gabe’s, Mid State Automotive Group, WSM Radio, Blue Coolers, Little General, Elimishield and Citrusafe who allowing us to do do unimaginable things for a first year festival. We look forward to bringing this world class event to the fans next year in our wild and wonderful state of West Virginia.”

Highlights of the event were a surprise appearance by WVU Head Football Coach Neal Brown and a version of Family Tradition with Hank Williams and his daughter Holly and son Sam.
