Jury selection continued in Morgantown murder trial Tuesday afternoon

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Jury selection continued into Tuesday afternoon in a first-degree murder trial in Morgantown.

Brian Greeson, 48, and Charles Shaffer, 56, were accused in the stabbing death of their roommate, 41-year-old Leslie Fields.

Greeson is on trial in Monongalia County Circuit Court for first-degree murder and conspiracy.

Shaffer has been sentenced to 40 years in prison following a guilty plea to second-degree murder.

Greeson faces life in prison.

Fields was stabbed in the Forest Avenue apartment the three men shared in Morgantown.

Opening arguments in the case were expected to begin by late afternoon.
