Key leader retires from HCSO

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Lieutenant R. A. Titchenal has announced his retirement from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.

Lieutenant Titchenal began his law enforcement career as a patrolman for the city of Nutter Fort and was hired by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office on February 17, 2003. During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, Lieutenant Titchenal was a member of the SWAT Team, eventually becoming the SWAT Team Commander.

Lieutenant Titchenal also served as a Detective, Detective Commander and finished his career as Patrol Shift Commander.

“Lieutenant Titchenal has been an asset to this agency and I wish him well in all of his future endeavors,” Sheriff R. G. Matheny said.
