Kingwood woman charged with attacking toddler, adult

KINGWOOD, W.Va. – A Kingwood woman is facing charges after allegedly choking her two-year-old child, according to police.

The investigation began around 11 p.m. Saturday in a home on Oak Street when the child told police Jessica Miller, 27, “choked me.”  The child made the statement to police during an interview with the child and a male witness in the home.

Officers reported red marks on the child’s throat and a scratch mark down the child’s neck. The police say the male witness also had red marks and scratches on his neck.

The witness told police Miller was choking him when she grabbed the child’s neck. Additionally, the witness told police he had seen Miller hurt the child in the past.

Miller has been charged with two counts of strangulation and child abuse resulting in injury and is being held in the She is being held at Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
