Man charged with sexual abuse for the second time this year

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. —  A Morgantown man previously accused of biting and sexually abusing a woman in Walmart is now charged with inappropriately touching a woman in Sheetz.

Joseph Dane Goodfellow, 30, is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

About 7:30 a.m. Feb. 11, Goodfellow touched a woman between her legs and grabbed her breasts without her consent while at Sheetz at 1012 University Avenue, according to court documents.

On Jan. 9, the Morgantown Police Department arrested Goodfellow after he allegedly bit a woman on the neck, picked her up and grabbed her behind. He asked the woman if she would go around the corner with him and said “don’t be so loud, the employees will hear,” a criminal complaint stated.

That alleged incident occurred at the Walmart on Retail Drive, off of Grafton Road. He was charged with first-degree sexual assault in that incident. Goodfellow now faces three charges of first-degree sexual abuse.

The two cases will likely be presented to a grand jury in May.

Goodfellow was arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court and is free in lieu of $50,000 bond.
