Medical emergency leads to drug investigation in Westover

WESTOVER, W.Va. – An investigation into a medical emergency resulted in an ongoing drug investigation and possible overdose in Westover.

Westover police and Mon EMS Responded to a residence on Holland Avenue and found a 21-year-old female in and out of consciousness with apparent blue lips.

The unidentified male who made the 911 call told police he did not live there but did stay from time to time.

After smelling the odor of marijuana, police secured the residence and requested a search warrant.

During the search, police found 10 grams of marijuana, 12 grams of crack cocaine, 64 oxycodone tablets, and a loaded semi-automatic 9mm pistol.

The 21-year-old female was transported for treatment. Her condition is not known.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
