ELKINS, W.Va. — After a national alert was sent out, police were able to locate a 9-year-old who went missing in Elkins.
Hayden Shifflett was found safely Monday morning, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
He was considered missing after walking home with a group of friends Sunday and they last saw him walking toward his front door.
A national alert had been sent out by the center during the efforts to locate him.
