Missing girl last seen in Sabraton found in Mexico

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A missing girl last seen in Sabraton on July 12 has been found safe in Mexico City, Mexico.

Josephine Craft, 6, was in the care of her biological mother, Elizabeth Shirley-Murray during scheduled visitation when the young girl was reported missing on July 20 after Shirley-Murray did not return the girl as planned on July 19.

A Webster County arrest warrant was issued for Shirley-Murray on July 25 and the U.S. Marshal Service joined the hunt on July 26.

Tuesday, August 13 Josephine Craft was found around 9 p.m. in a hotel in Mexico City unharmed. She will be returned to her father.

This is the second lost child from north central West Virginia recovered by the U.S. Marshal Service in a month.
